Research Scientist

Jake is a geologist and serves MVA as a project leader and a technical expert in the analysis of stack testing samples and SEM-EDS based particle sizing.

He is well-versed in the EPA methods for particulate sampling (Methods 5, 17, 201A, 202), and particle size distribution (PSD) analysis.  He has extensive experience with a wide range of analytical techniques, applicable to stack test particulate sizing and characterization, including polarized light microscopy (PLM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS).

He is an active member of the Source Evaluation Society (SES) and the Carolina Air Pollution Control Association (CAPCA).
