Abstract:
As members of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Subcommittee D22.07 on asbestos, we wish to take issue with the presentation of information in this paper (1), which dismisses as essentially useless the new ASTM Standard Test Method D5755 for Microvacuum Sampling and Indirect Analysis of Dust by Transmission Electron Microscopy for Asbestos Structure Number Concentrations.
