Abstract:

Investigations of indoor air quality concerns in buildings may involve a range of suspect agents. These may include organic vapors such as formaldehyde, biological agents such as mold, fungi and pollens, and other types of particulate contaminants. The particles present in air are often comprised of a wide range of different materials. The effect of airborne particles on human health, indoors and outside, is generally recognized but little understood.
