One of the common inquiries we receive from the pharmaceutical industry is particulate identification. We are often asked questions regarding turnaround time, analytical methodology and quality documentation. I jotted down the most common questions and published a post on our website. I’m going to share a couple of the questions with you here. If you want to see all of the posted questions, click here.
What analytical techniques does MVA Scientific Consultants use for particulate identification?
MVA Scientific Consultants uses Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) combined with energy dispersive x-ray spectrometry (EDS), Raman spectroscopy and polarized light microscopy (PLM) to identify foreign particulate contamination.
What is the turnaround time for particulate analysis?
Our standard turnaround time is 10 business days. However, we understand that our clients may have emergency situations, so we offer two levels of expedited service. Our rush turnaround time is 3 to 5 business days and, for an emergency rush project, we make your project the top priority and devote all necessary resources to it.
If you or your clients have a need for foreign particulate analysis, please feel free to give us a call and we will be happy to assist. You can reach us at 770-662-8509 or by email.
