Heather Alley
Research Scientist
Heather specializes in the analysis of small particles utilizing transmission electron microscopy (TEM) with selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS). She has experience using phase contrast microscopy (PCM) for asbestos analysis (NIOSH 7400), identifying and characterizing materials using polarized light microscopy (PLM), and identifying and characterizing unknown materials using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS).
